Back-to-School Snack Recipes Kids Can Make Themselves
The kids are heading back to school, and there's suddenly a frequent need for snacks -- for during the school day, for after the school day (and, in the case of a certain 2nd grader I know, for "pre-dinner"). Ideally, I'd like my kids to be reaching for a relatively healthy choice. Better yet, it's fun (and educational!) when they can make their own homemade snack, with just a little help from me. The 8x8 Cookbook Wins "Best First Book"!
Burnt Cheese Press earned a Gold Award at the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) Benjamin Franklin Awards this past weekend in Salt Lake City! Founder Kathy Strahs proudly accepted the Bill Fisher Award for Best First Book -- Nonfiction, an award for the first book from a new press, for The 8x8 Cookbook.

The 8x8 Cookbook Successfully Funded on Kickstarter!
This past October, more than 400 backers showed their generous support for The 8x8 Cookbook on Kickstarter and the project was successfully funded! The campaign raised more than $21,000 and was named a Kickstarter Staff Pick. Thank you to our incredible backers!
